These little black seeds don't come from our modern celery, but from wild celery, known as lovage. It has a bold aroma and an herb-like and savory flavor that is slightly more intense and bitter than the celery we can get today in the grocery store. It is naturally rich in calcium, fiber, as well as vitamins K and C.
