You Will Thank Me

Everyone looks forward to summer’s bounty: juicy fruits and crisp veggies. Who could ask for anything more? Maybe an online farmers market? Keep reading or check out this tutorial:

If you live in LaPorte, Lake, Porter, St. Joseph, Elkhart, Marshall, or Stark county (See below for links to other Indiana locations.), Market Wagon may make your life a whole lot easier. Here’s how:

You order products by Tuesday at midnight for delivery on Thursday. Delivery can be made to your home for a fee of $5.95 (what a deal!) or to one of the market host locations where you can retrieve the insulated bag for no charge. The New Kitchen Store serves as a host, and you can easily find one near you.

Market hosts receive the filled orders by 2 p.m. Central time on Thursday. Home deliveries are made between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m.. An email and text will be sent to each customer when the order reaches the host or the customer’s home.

Here’s the truly awesome part: You don’t subscribe and there is no minimum order!!!!! This is super fresh food. Market Wagon does not store it—it goes right out to you.

The current week’s offerings are listed in 15 categories. The filters at the top right of each category page ensure that you can quickly make your choices. Each product page includes a description, contents if appropriate, and, often, reviews. If you need more information, you can contact the seller directly from the product page.

If you’re super short on time, order a Farmer’s Best Basket of pre-selected items. You can de-select some items if you prefer and then move on to other categories.

What I especially like is that you know exactly what you are buying. For those of you (like me!) who are picky about what you buy and want to support local growers and producers, this is the site for you.

Nick Carter, Co-Founder, CEO, and a farm boy, is passionate about helping food producers to thrive in an e-commerce culture. Delivery and distribution is often a problem for the small producer and Market Wagon steps in to make the link to consumers.

I could write more, but why? A few clicks on the site and you will be sold:
