Setting Your Table For Fathers Day

May-ke room in your schedule for barbeques, gardening, and allergy season. Just a little play on words to start this May table setting blog, simply because we’ll be looking at how to set your table for the upcoming season, celebrating fathers day. A dad joke felt fitting, sorry if it caused you to internally groan ( or cringe) as dad jokes often do.

This table setting is gonna sport the same theme as last months by using a cookbook as part of the centerpiece. Not only can that cookbook double as a gift to dad and a great resource for delicious and unique recipes, but you get a third bonus of it also being an effortless centerpiece. Sitting on top of the cook book we have the same Nora Fleming piece we have used a few times now in these table setting blogs, sporting the theme of re-using your items but making the look feel fresh each season. However we did replace the mini for an adorable little grill, "Hot Stuff!" because when I think of fathers day I automatically think of grilling. Intiresting in the mini? Click the link here to see it up close! Bonus points if you fill the tray with dads favorite candies as a daily little treat.

I reused the black and white placemat that we’ve seen a few times now, adding a good pop of contrast and pattern but keeping the whole setting in line with what we see trending in a timeless manner. And last but certainly not least, our bone white Mikasa dinnerware, the highlight of each table setting. Fast fashion is taking over the world, and home and kitchen decor is no different. Unfortunately styles come and go and with that, usually quality goes just as fast. By choosing a timeless dinnerware set like this one, you’re not only creating a lasting elegance to your kitchen but you’re also choosing the sustainable option for both you and the planet. Make the purchase once and you get a beautiful dinnerware set, cups and bowls included, that’ll last you a lifetime with proper care. They’re dishwasher safe, porcelain, and high quality. The white color makes it easy for it to go with any decor choice and another bonus, they aren’t overly heavy either.

All in all this blog has been so fun to take part in, giving people ideas and inspiration for how to dress up your table settings without having to buy something new each season we come into. I feel it’s coming to a close soon, with only a few more holidays to note before we reach back around to where we started.

If you take any inspo from this setting take a picture and post it to social media and tag New Kitchen Store in it so we can see! We always love hearing feed back so we can continue to grow and learn from you all just as much as anywhere else. Until next month!
