Seasonal Drinks part 1: Fall in Love with Coffee
By Angela Cornell

I'm not exactly sure why, but I associate coffee and fall. Maybe it's because with the cooler weather comes a desire for hot drinks... or maybe because pumpkin spice coffee is one of my must-have's in the fall.

Whatever the reason, the result is that I try to find a new favorite flavored coffee every fall. The first place I look is… You guessed it, New Kitchen Store. Just between you and me, I’ve had a sneak peak at the new flavored coffees we’re getting in this year and I can’t wait to try a few of them.

If you haven’t been into the store lately or checked out the holiday coffees here on the web, here’s a list of our autumn flavored java**!

Autumn Roast: Not to be confused with our Autumn Spice coffee, this blend tastes like chestnuts rolled in cinnamon and vanilla.

Autumn Spice: Not to be confused with our Autumn Roast coffee, this blend has a distinct mixed berry flavor tossed with cinnamon and sugar.

Caramel Corn: Few things say “cold weather” better than fresh caramel corn. So why not try this coffee? It’s reminiscent of freshly popped popcorn that’s just been coated by delicious caramel.

Cranberry Crème Brulee: Take the tangy, sweet flavor of cranberries and combine that with rich cream and you’ll have this coffee.

Harvest Spiced Cider: This coffee is flavored to taste like apple cider with the best of fall’s spices: cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves.

Holiday Nut Liqueur: This coffee was roasted with hazelnut liqueur. Take it home today to enjoy its smooth, nutty flavor.

Holiday Vanilla Spice: This vanilla and hazelnut coffee is mixed with real mulling spices. Talk about delicious!

Jack-O-Latte: You can’t go wrong with a coffee that tastes like ground cinnamon sprinkled over vanilla custard. Yum! Make it even richer by making your own whipped cream and top your coffee with it.

Maple Bourbon: This coffee combines the traditional sticky, sweet flavor of maple syrup with good old-fashioned bourbon.

Pecan Pie: Imagine waking up on Thanksgiving morning to the smell of fresh pecan pie combined with coffee from your drip machine. Wouldn’t that just be amazing?

Pilgrim Pecan Torte: This roast combines honeyed pecans, bourbon, and milk chocolate for a creamy, decadent coffee.

Pistachio Pumpkin: Salted pistachios are a favorite healthy snack for many people. So why not combine that with creamy pumpkin notes for an excellent new coffee?

Pumpkin Bourbon: Have you ever considered soaking sweet, earthy pumpkin in vanilla-oaky-caramelly bourbon before? Neither have I! But I’m glad someone did. This coffee tastes like someone took a pumpkin straight from the garden, drenched it in bourbon and then squeezed it into your coffee.

Pumpkin Butter: This coffee has a rich, creamy flavor with a dash of spicy pumpkin.

Pumpkin Caramel: Some of our fall coffees take the traditional pumpkin spice blend and adds a little extra something to it for your enjoyment. Take this one, for instance, that blends pumpkin spice and sweet caramel. You can’t go wrong there!

Pumpkin Crème Brulee: This one is a returning favorite that tastes like a pumpkin puree custard.

Pumpkin Haze: Back by popular demand, this coffee combines fresh hazelnut and pumpkin spices!

Pumpkin Latte: Imagine a silky sweet, earthy pumpkin flavor combined with rich vanilla, then add it to your coffee. Making your own whipped cream and top your coffee with it for extra texture and flavor.

Pumpkin Muffin: This one tastes just like a fall-flavored coffee cake characterized by pumpkin and spices.

Pumpkin Pecan: Have you ever wished you didn’t have to choose between pumpkin and pecan pie at Thanksgiving dinner? Well, now you can have both in one delicious mouthful!

Pumpkin Spice: An oldie, but a goodie, especially since it’s combined with hot buttered rum as well as your traditional pumpkin spices like cinnamon and nutmeg.

Pumpkin Toffee: Here’s another coffee that gives a twist on the old pumpkin spice flavor. It combines the rich, heady pumpkin spices with a sweet toffee flavor.

Spooky Spice: You can’t go wrong with this delicious cinnamon and hazelnut coffee, especially as you’re handing out trick-or-treat candy.

Vampire Vanilla: Indulge your inner wraith with this vanilla and hazelnut coffee.

Vanilla Whiteout: These coffee beans have been dusted with vanilla powder to lend an exquisite French vanilla essence to your morning coffee.
